TAPI Agent PC Configuration

On the agent PC the TAPI interface presented by your telephony provider will need to be configured for CallScripter to be able to interface with it.
You need to have your telephony provider's TAPI driver installed on the local pc as well as the CallScripter TAPI driver before you can carry out these steps (pc will need to be restarted after doing the TAPI installations before following these steps).

On the agent PC:
  1. Open "Control Panel"
  2. Open "Phone and Modem Options"
  3. Change to "Advanced" tab
  4. Select your phone providers entry (ie: Avaya IP Office)
  5. Click "Configure"
  6. Type in your Phone Switch IP address in to the "Switch IP Address" box.
  7. Click the "Single User" radio button.
  8. Enter the Phone switch User Name for the physical phone/softphone user you are using on this desk. Please note this is the backend user name and is often different from the hard or soft phone login name.
  9. Enter the correspondent password or leave blank if there is none.
  10. Click "OK" to save your options.
  11. Click "Close" to close the screen.
  12. Your TAPI interface is now configured. Some providers will require a restart of the PC for the changes to take effect.
