There is a long-standing bug in Chrome to do with fonts that has been exacerbated with the recent 58.0.3029.110 release, causing some or all of the icons on the page to stop rendering correctly in certain circumstances.
The symptom is that some or all icons may be replaced with either a collection of random characters, or a simple empty square.
There are reports that it is mainly triggered by inactivity of that particular tab while other tabs continue to be used, but as the issue is intermittent and poorly specified, it is difficult to give any particular advice as to what may avoid triggering the issue.
The current recommendation from CallScripter is to use Internet Explorer 11 if the issue is disruptive, until such a time as the issue is hopefully fixed in Chrome.
